Most recently, she served as Head of Global Communications at Verily, formerly Google Life Sciences where she was charged with social media engagement, public relations, reputation management, corporate messaging, content and stakeholder engagement. Prior to Verily, Jen was the Vice President of Marketing and Communications and Interim Development Vice President for the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy (PICI). She was one of the institute’s first 10 employees and built the marketing and communications function from the start, working closely with founder Sean Parker to build awareness and credibility for PICI. She had a wide remit at PICI, including strategic planning, branding, website, digital and event marketing, content development and creative, media relations, crisis communications and member engagement.
Jen led communications, digital marketing, patient engagement and entertainment marketing for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and has developed and launched strategic marketing efforts for DHHS, NIH, USDA, DoD and the IRS. She also spearheaded integrated public relations and cause marketing programs for corporate brands such as Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse, Prudential, Philips Electronics and Motorola.
In her free time, Jen loves trying new restaurants in San Francisco and the Bay area, hiking and getting outside with her two rescue dachshund terrier mixes; she also volunteers for Best Friends Animal Society and SF Marin Food Bank.
