Lauren Selig

Lauren Selig is an entrepreneur and executive with a 20-year track record of global impact in the media, real-estate, media, technology and start-up communities. In 2013, Selig founded Shake and Bake Productions and V.A.L.I.S Studios to finance and produce high quality independent studio pictures, television and virtual reality. She is also the general manager of the IMAX Virtual Reality Fund and founder of crypto currency company Tangled Little Dragon.

Selig executive produced films including the Academy Award winning film Hacksaw Ridge, Everest, Black Mass, Lone Survivor, Begin Again, Two Night Stand and American Made

In the virtual reality space Selig created the Facebook 360 studio. She partnered with Endemol and TIME magazine to produce the first virtual reality summit of Mt. Everest and she co-produced Intel’s Smithsonian American Virtual Reality experience and Justin Timberlakes song for his album Montana.

Selig is a co-owner of the China advisory firm Lila and formerly she was the president of business development and strategy at IndieFlix, one of the largest collections of independent films online.

Selig advises and invests in crypto currency companies including WAX, BlockV, RNDR, RChain, Lottery, Vertiy, Verses and Academy.

Selig served in the role of director of development at her private family office, managing the asset allocation and portfolio management of family investments in startups as well as organizing family philanthropy.

Selig holds a B.S. in international relations from the Georgetown School of Foreign Service and London School of Economics, as well as a JD-MBA in technology management from Northwestern and University of Washington. Selig is a writer, a mom of two daughters, and is active in the Los Angeles and Seattle communities serving on the boards of the XPRIZE, OTOY, Verity, Lottery, and the Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences.
