Rachel Hefner comes to the XPRIZE Foundation with over ten years of experience in communications and humanitarian efforts, both in the U.S. and internationally. Ms. Hefner currently serves as the Community Lead for the Racial Equity Alliance. Prior to this, she worked in Marketing as an Events Specialist and as the lead coordinator for the AI for Good Global Summit in 2020.

Passionate about economic and social justice, Rachel has previously coordinated community mentorship programs in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and helped lead international aid efforts in nations such as Haiti, India, and Northern Iraq.

Ms. Hefner holds a Bachelor’s in English from UCLA, where she also worked as a reporter and photographer for the Daily Bruin. In her free time, Ms. Hefner enjoys spending time in nature, throwing clay, and cruising the side streets of Los Angeles on her Harley Sportster.
